Cubico Bed Frame | Dark Amber

Cubico Bed Frame, created by Italian designer Martina Branchetti, is a contemporary interpretation of a low-profile platform bed. Crafted from solid beech wood, a horizontal shape defined with chamfered edges is connected to four sturdy pillars, whose almost brutalist character creates a sense of rootedness within the bedroom. As the final touch, the wood is stained by one of two distinct pigmentations, recalling the tradition of mediterranean mid-century furniture design.

Martina Branchetti

Martina Branchetti is a cross-disciplinary furniture and interior designer based between Italy and Denmark. Her creative practice is highly research driven; molded by the surroundings of her Italian upbringing, whilst simultaneously being informed by recent experiences living across Europe. This history is apparent in her work, where shapes and forms drawn from her childhood are reinterpreted based on these new contexts.

In 2023 Martina established APOHLI alongside Lewis Graham — a creative studio working across furniture, object, and spatial design. Their principles lie within investigations of the past and present, synthesizing elements of primitive craft and contemporary production — to create tangible outputs centered around these dichotomous narratives.

Are slats included with the bed frame?

Yes, you don't have to look for slats elsewhere. All our bed frames include a slatted base made from solid pine wood.

Which mattress can I use with the bed frame?

The construction of our bed frames allows you to use any type of mattress, not only a mattress from RYE. Foam mattresses, spring mattresses, box springs, futons etc. - the choice is yours.

How do I assemble my bed?

Cubico Bed Frame is delivered partially flat-packed along with an easy-to-follow assembly guide. The entire foot-end of the bed frame is pre-assembled to avoid any difficult steps. No tools or experience is needed to assemble the bed frame.

How is my bed delivered?

The bed frame is delivered in boxes to your address, none of them being too large or heavy to carry for one person.

For most countries we offer a "white glove delivery" option, where all packages are carried in to your room-of-choice. This service can be worth the extra fee if you for any reason are unable to carry it in.

Why is the bed flat-packed?

Flat-packed furniture has many positive impacts. It enables efficiency and flexibility both in terms of transportation and when moving the furniture in and out of your home.

Additionally, when furniture is designed for disassembly it is easy to repair, by only having to replace the actual part that has been damaged instead of the whole item - both reducing waste and costs.
