Following terms apply to users of rye-sleep.com. They are valid for all future transactions with RYE and visits to rye-sleep.com. This website is directed to private individuals. For this reason, the terms and conditions mentioned here are not related to any of the conditions applied in the stores of our retailers.

RYE offer two optional shipping methods for most European countires:

Curbside delivery: Your order is shipped to the curbside of you home and most be collected there.
Room of choice delivery: Your order is delivered in whichever room on you address.

Other countries:
If you are prevented in checking out due to shipping limitations, please contact us and we will return with a quote on your shipment.

Shipping timeframes

All our furniture are made-to-order, meaning that we don’t start producing a bed before it has been ordered. This is a responsible choice made to avoid over-production. Due to this procedure, our usual delivery times are as following:

Bed frames: 5 – 7 weeks
Nightstands: 5 – 7 weeks
Mattresses and toppers: 2-3 week

Order Confirmation

Once we have received your order you will receive an order information receipt by e-mail. We recommend that you save this as confirmation that we received your order. Within 1-3 working days, you will then receive the order confirmation, containing your order details and information about delivery. Exchanges & Returns

The recipient is obligated to check that the product packaging is unopened upon delivery. If this is not the case, you should inspect the delivered products together with the carrier. In case of errors or defects in the delivery, you should make a complaint with the carrier, and RYE will then remedy such errors or defects as quickly as possible. The recipient is furthermore obligated to check that the delivery contains the ordered items. If that is not the case, you must inform RYE via email to [email protected] of such errors or defects no later than within 8 days. The recipient may not claim compensation for delivery of an incorrect item if the item has been used.

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days after delivery. The Right of Withdrawal period starts on the day you received the product(s).
Within 14 days of receipt, you must notify us that you regret your purchase and wish to cancel it. A notification must be sent to [email protected]. Your notification must clearly state that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation. You may not cancel your order by simply refusing to accept the goods without clearly notifying us of your wish to do so.

You must return your order to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You are responsible for bearing all costs related to returning the product.

When returning the goods, you are further responsible for ensuring that the products are suitably packaged. You bear all risks for the goods from the time of their delivery to you.

Note that our rules for returns and our right of cancellation are different for standard goods, on the one hand, and for individually manufactured products such as bed frames, on the other. Individually manufactured products are so-called special orders, where the right to cancel a purchase lapse once the order has been given.

The following types of items are excluded from the right of cancellation:
Individually manufactured products

When you order an individually manufactured product (e.g. a bed frame), the product in question is a unique product that has been adapted and individually tailored to your preferences and instructions, by choosing materials, sizes, colors, mattress type with different levels of firmness etc. – and RYE does not commence production until the final order has been given. The product is thus unique and cannot subsequently be exchanged, because Rye cannot resell it elsewhere. For that reason, your ordinary 14-day right of return/cancellation is void from the moment you have placed your final order and production has begun.

The condition of the goods upon their return
You bear responsibility for any loss in the value of the goods that is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, properties and proper functioning of the goods.

If the goods have been used beyond what is described above, we shall consider them used, meaning that upon your cancellation of the purchase, you will be reimbursed only a part or none of the purchase price, depending on the commercial value of the goods.

Reimbursement of the purchase sum
If you cancel your purchase, you will naturally be reimbursed the purchase sum. In case of depreciation for which you are responsible, this will be deducted from the amount of reimbursement. If you utilize your right of cancellation, we will refund the amount without delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we received notification of your decision to cancel the agreement. We will reimburse you using the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless you have expressly consented otherwise. We can withhold the reimbursement until we receive the goods, unless you have furnished documentation showing that you have returned it.

When shopping at www.rye-sleep.com, you are entitled to a two-year warranty. That means you either get the product repaired, replaced, your money back or a discount, depending on the individual situation.

Naturally, the claim must be warranted, and the error or defect must not be due to incorrect use of the product or other harmful behavior.

For all warranted claims, www.rye-sleep.com will reimburse the costs of returning the product. For this purpose, kindly send an email to [email protected], stating the postage expenses and your banking information. Keep your postage receipt as documentation.

How quickly must I make a claim?
You must send your claim within a “reasonable time” after discovering the product error or defect. If you make your compliant within two months of discovering the error/defect, the claim will be considered as received on time.

When you return the product, kindly state the nature of the problem in as much detail as possible and please inform us about the date for purchasing the product.

Note: We do not accept packages sent cash on delivery (C.O.D.) or in a similar fashion. Remember that the product must always be returned in appropriate packaging material.

Payment, Duties & Taxes

Payment is possible via:
Creditcard: Visa-Dankort / Visa / Visa Electron / MasterCard / Maestro and JBC.
Bank transfer: You will be invoiced to pay, when you received your order confirmation.
Paypal: Use your Paypal account the pay during checkout.

Upon payment the amount will be reserved on your creditcard, but the amount is first captured, when products are being shipped.

RYE operates in one currency: EUR

Duties & Taxes

Due to the VAT rules for countries belonging to the European Union (EU), prices include the national VAT rate, valid for each individual country.

Outside EU
For orders outside EU, VAT deductions will automatically be applied to your order. However, you may be charged VAT, import duties and taxes by customs upon receipt of your order. RYE ships your order according to Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). This means that we cannot collect VAT, duties and taxes to countries outside the European Union and further we cannot predict what your charges may be.
